Postgame

The game is over and you played how you played, that means it’s time to rest and recover. The best way to do this is to lightly stretch and relax those muscles by taking a hot shower or bath. By working out your muscles during game time they are severely inflamed. CBD/Hemp is one of the most effective anti-inflammatory plants in the world, and is one of the best ways to quickly heal sore muscles and get back to game ready.

After your hot shower when pores are open we recommend using our CBD Pain Cream. It has a cooling effect which will allow you to have instant relief when massaging sore muscles. This cream has the consistency of lotion which has a medium absorption rate compared to our balm or gel.

You can also use an ingestible such as a gummy or tincture before bed to allow you some pain relief if you continue to have sore muscles and joints. This will also allow the CBD to work on those inflamed muscles throughout the night, so you’re back in action the next day.

Muscle Recovery

CBD has long been used to treat sore muscles, it does this by reducing the inflammation on an overused or tight muscle. It’s also a powerful pain suppressant, so while you’re dealing with a painful sore muscle, CBD is working to lower the pain felt as well as heal that muscle. This allows you to be ready for action the next day because you allowed your muscle to recover by using CBD properly.

The two ways you can apply CBD to a sore muscle is by either a topical or an ingestible, like a CBD gummy. We recommend after a game or a tough workout when you shower after, to apply CBD topically to areas you feel are sore or have the potential to be later on. It’s important to note that when you are either sweating or taking a hot shower the pores on your skin become open and are able to absorb CBD better than ever.

Gametime

It’s gametime! There is not a whole lot that you can do during your game when the pain starts to kick in. When those muscles and joints start to get sore you can try to stretch those muscles out as much as you can, but specifically for joints this can minimal relief.

Pregame

This will also help during stretching as it will further loosen muscle and allow you to get your muscles/joints ready to be active.

This can also be paired with our CBD gummies for those that have deeper muscle and joint pain. We recommend taking 1 gummy 30 minutes before gametime, to ensure you have food in your stomach. A gummy paired with our salve stick will be the most effective way to introduce CBD to your game.

Topical or Ingestible

There is a huge difference between using CBD in a topical or in an ingestible. A topical consists of lotions and balms that is applied to the skin, an ingestible would be in the form of a gummy or tincture that you ingest directly.

Topicals are great for applying to the area of need directly. Your skin absorbs the CBD directly and applies it to the muscle or joint in that area. They work best if used directly after a hot shower, used continuously throughout the day, or prior to sweating/exercising.

Ingestibles are slightly more effective, but also more complicated. These are great for more intense pain and can apply CBD to your entire body. There is no brian fuzziness or decreased critical thinking when taking CBD. To take an ingestible it’s important to take with food so the CBD has fats and carbs to bind with in your stomach, otherwise you might feel slightly light headed (similar to tea or coffee). It’s also important to ensure you know your dosage, start with small amounts and work your way up.

When used properly a topical and ingestible can be one of the most effective ways to use CBD for your game. For example, taking an ingestible and applying CBD topically on a specific area will allow your body to focus on where it needs it most and has the best results.

Stretch and
Loosen Muscles

Stretching is a vital part of any pregame routine. It loosens muscles, mobilizes joints, and lessens the risk of cramps and injuries. Applying CBD to muscles prior to stretching will further loosen muscles and get your game ready. CBD allows you to stretch muscles further by increasing your pain tolerance and floods your body with anti-inflammatory properties in preparation for your muscles to be stretched and flexed.

Tinctures are a liquid form of the Cannabis plant, you can either put a full dopper under your tongue or use it as an additive put in your drink or food. Our tinctures are 100% natural and contains only CBD extract and Coconut CMT (to bind the CBD molecule to).

This method is highly effective for a more medium effect, it lasts much longer than smoking, and can be added to anything. For example, maybe to start your day you add a Tincture to your coffee.

Start with a 500 Mg tincture and work your way up if you have never used a tincture before. There are many different strengths and types of Tinctures that we have on our website, start slow and if you feel its not strong enough then you can upgrade to a higher strength.

Unlike edibles that are chewable, softgels come in the form of a pill similar to a daily supplement. This is one of the easiest ways to make taking CBD a daily occurrence.
